North of England Excellence Awards 2012

Eligibility to enter the Awards

All organisations who have a base in the North West of England, North East of England, Yorkshire or Humberside are eligible to enter the Awards.

2012 Award Categories

Excellence Award applications are invited for the following sectors:

  • Private organisations with 250 or more employees
  • Private organisations with fewer than 250 employees
  • Public organisations with 250 or more employees
  • Public organisations with fewer than 250 employees
  • Voluntary, Charity and ‘Not For Profit’ organisations of any size
  • Educational Establishments of any size

Business of the year

The Excellence Award application whom the jury judge to be the best overall organisation will be awarded the North of England Business of the Year Award.

2012 Special Award Categories

  • Sustainability – The Award for Sustainability will recognise how organisations strive for economic, social and ecological sustainability.

  • Innovation – The Award for Innovation will recognise how organisations increase value and enhance performance through innovation and creativity. The top 3 entries will each receive a prize of 1days consultancy (value £1000) from liveinnovation

  • Learning & Development – The Award for Learning and Development will recognise the best examples of how organisations develop and release the knowledge and full potential of their people.

  • Customer Service – The Award for Customer Service will recognise the best examples of how organisations have created value for customers by anticipating and understanding their needs and expectations.

  • Lean – The Award for Lean will recognise the best examples of using Lean to maximise customer value whilst minimising waste.

  • Leadership – For those organisations which can demonstrate excellent leadership, with creative solutions to develop the culture of the organisation.

  • High Growth – For those organisations which can demonstrate outstanding business performance and results.The winning entry will receive a prize of 2 days consultancy (value £2.000) from C-Tech

The entry fee for entering a Special Category Awards is dependent on the size of your organisation and whether you are a joint member of North of England Excellence and the British Quality Foundation.
